Perched between mountains and the Ligurian Mediterranean coast, you are guaranteed to fall in love with the five UNESCO World Heritage Sites which make up the Cinque Terre.
At 6:40am the tour meets at the central roundabout Largo Cairoli de Milan, leaving the capital of Lombardy twenty minutes afterwards on the road to the Mediterranean coast of Liguria.
The first stop is a place where many writers looked for (and look for) inspiration: "The Gulf of the Poets." The small towns of the area were visited by geniuses such as Petrarch, Lord Byron, and Mery Shelley, author of "Frankenstein". We will make a stop at one of these little villages to visit the coloured buildings of Portvenere, where despite the tourism you can still breathe in the maritime atmosphere of years gone.
In Portvenere we will board a boat to take a cruise down the Ligurian coast up to Monterosso al Mare, Having embarked we will get some incredible views of the Cinque Terre. In Monterosso you will have free time to eat, visit the old town, and take a wander down the beach before making our way to its train station.
From here we will take a train to the village of Vernazza, close to the coast. Its buildings are built on the rocks, giving the appearance that they are hanging. We will walk through its picturesque streets adjoining the beach before returning to the station to take a train to La Spezia, capital of the region which bears its name.
In La Spezia we'll take the bus which brings us back to the departure point in Milan around 8pm
On Mondays and Thursdays, the tour takes place in English only, on Fridays in both English and Spanish.
