Leonardo da Vinci Vineyard & Atellani House Visit
During this visit to Leonardo da Vinci's vineyards, you'll learn all about the history of this fascinating place located in Milan's historic centre, in the Atellani House gardens.
It was in 1498 that the Duke of Milan, Ludovico Sforza, donated these crops to Leonardo da Vinci. These crops were a gift to thank da Vinci for painting The Last Supper in the Church of Santa Maria delle Grazie. The artist kept these lands as one of his most valuable possessions and today, over 5 centuries later, the original vines are still maintained and cared for.
You'll also be able to enter Atellani House, the mansion attached to Leonardo da Vinci's vineyards. You can stroll through the different rooms of this Renaissance building and admire the frescoes in the Zodiac room, visit the portrait room and discover the neo-baroque details added during restorations in the early 20th century.
