Naviglio della Martesana Bike Tour
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Foro Buonaparte in Milan. Here, we'll get on our bikes to start an enjoyable route through the outskirts of the fashion capital!
After an initial stretch of road, we'll reach a path that will lead us to the Naviglio della Martesana, one of the canals that connect Milan to the Adda River. Did you know that the origins of this engineering work date back to the 15th century? The idea was to be able to divert these river waters to be used for irrigation and mills.
As we cycle, we'll admire this historic area away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We'll pass through old farmhouses, see extensive crops, and reach the town of Cernusco sul Naviglio, where we'll stop to rest in a park.
Before returning to the center of Milan, we'll take a break in a restaurant and leave you 30 minutes free to recharge your batteries. Afterwards, we'll resume the route.
After 3 hours of riding, we'll see the Sforza Castle and then finish the bike tour by arriving back at the starting point.
